JAMES G. GOULD, CPA
President
As President of Alesco Advisors, Jim is responsible for managing the firm, business development, and client service. Prior to founding Alesco, Jim was President of Clover Capital Management, Inc., a Rochester, NY-based investment advisor with more than two billion dollars under management. He is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
TODD D. GREEN, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
As Alesco Advisors’ Chief Investment Officer, Todd establishes the firm’s investment policy and manages client portfolios. Prior to joining Alesco, Todd was Senior Vice President of the HSBC Private Bank and was directly responsible for the bank’s Upstate New York Investment Management business. He was a member of the HSBC Investment Policy Committee. Before joining HSBC in 1999, Todd was a Senior Portfolio Manager with Wilmington Trust Company, Wilmington, Delaware, where he personally managed $2 billion in client assets. He is a graduate of Binghamton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance. Todd is a CFA Charter Holder.
FREDERICK V. MINGES
Executive Vice President
Fritz directs Alesco’s client service and business development efforts, and brings 13 years of investment and client service experience to the firm. Prior to joining Alesco, he was Vice President - Client Relationship Manager at Clover Capital Management, a Rochester-based investment advisor, where he was responsible for over $500 million in assets under management for both individual and institutional clients. Fritz also worked at Bausch & Lomb for seven years and held various marketing positions, including director of marketing for the company’s General Eye Care product line. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hamilton College and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
STEVEN O. RUSSELL
Principal
Steve is responsible for Alesco’s client relations and new business development. Prior to joining Alesco, Steve was Vice President of the Al Sigl Center. He began as CFO and then created and implemented a shared services operation for the nine partner agencies at the Center, realizing significant cost savings. Steve previously worked at JP Morgan Chase for 17 years, holding executive positions in investment banking, not-for-profit marketing, corporate finance, and treasury. Steve is a graduate of Kenyon College with a concentration in Economics and holds a Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology.
TIMOTHY J. TINDALL
Principal
Tim is responsible for Alesco’s client relations and new business development. Previously, Tim spent more than a decade as a financial journalist, most recently at CNBC, where he was an on-air reporter covering the financial markets and investing. Tim also worked for the global index company, FTSE Group, helping expand the use of FTSE index products among institutional asset managers. Tim is a graduate of DePauw University and holds a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.
DAVID J. ELIAS
Principal
David is responsible for Alesco's client relations and new business development. He has over 35 years in the investment advisory industry. David founded Elias Asset Management, Inc. in 1981 and was its CEO and Chief Investment Officer through 2005. His firm was nationally recognized as a manager of assets for individuals, corporate pension and profit sharing plans, and foundations. Often sought out by the national news media as a financial expert, David has been featured in more than 150 media appearances, including CNBC, CNN, NBC’s Today Show, Fox News Network, and CBS Evening News. He has been quoted in publications such as Forbes, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Business Week, and Time. He currently serves the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago as member of the Dean’s International Council, as well as the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government as a member of the Dean’s Council.
